Hi, I’m Lee. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience working with adults across a range of clinical settings, including hospitals, treatment centers, and outpatient psychiatry within Kaiser Permanente.
My work is grounded in relational therapy that explores the patterns beneath emotional experience, how we come to relate to ourselves, others, and the world around us.
Over time, I’ve found myself drawn to work that goes beneath surface-level coping and into the underlying adaptations people develop in response to early relational environments and life experiences.
It takes a certain kind of readiness to begin therapy, not just the desire for relief, but a willingness to look more deeply at yourself, your patterns, and the experiences that shaped you.
Therapy with me is not about quick fixes. It is a process of reconnecting-with your emotions, your history, your body, and ultimately, with yourself. As that connection strengthens, so does your capacity for clarity, choice, and more authentic relationships.
I consider myself a fellow traveler in this work, someone who deeply respects the courage it takes to look inward and begin again.
My approach to therapy is integrative and focused on understanding the underlying patterns that shape your experience.
This often includes exploring early attachment experiences, relational dynamics, inner child work, grief, addiction recovery patterns, and the ways the body holds and expresses emotional experience.
My Approach
I work with individual adults who are navigating the lasting impact of relational wounds, including childhood experiences, complex family dynamics, and patterns that continue to show up in relationships. Many of the people I work with are highly self-aware, yet still find themselves feeling stuck-repeating dynamics, feeling disconnected from themselves, or struggling to trust their own inner voice.
Often, these patterns begin as necessary adaptations-ways of coping, staying safe, or maintaining connection in earlier environments. Over time, they can become limiting, making it difficult to access a more grounded, authentic way of being.
I also work extensively with individuals navigating narcissistic or antagonistic relational dynamics, life transitions such as divorce or separation, postpartum and motherhood experiences, and the emotional impact of anxiety and depression.
Who I work with
Training and Education
I earned a Master of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University, after completing my undergraduate studies at San Diego State University.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, evidence-based, and trauma-informed, drawing from a range of modalities to support each client’s unique needs and goals. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness and meditation practices, and trauma-informed approaches that incorporate components of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic work to support healing, self-understanding, and nervous system regulation. Rather than adhering rigidly to one therapeutic model, I thoughtfully tailor treatment to each individual and the complexity of their lived experience.
In addition to my clinical work, I have designed and led specialized therapy groups focused on postpartum wellness, mindfulness and meditation, and addiction recovery. I have also developed multidisciplinary programming, provided clinical supervision, and taught undergraduate psychology courses.
My additional training includes coursework in animal-assisted therapy through the University of Colorado, the Science of Spirituality through Columbia University, Foundations of Science of Mind through Centers for Spiritual Living, and workshops in meditation and Ayurvedic practices through the Chopra Foundation.
This background allows me to hold both the complexity and nuance of each person’s experience while creating a space that is grounded, steady, and deeply attuned. I continue to engage in ongoing learning to support the quality and integrity of my work.
